This piece of writing was a gift to a friend of mine. She is a fellow writer and is currently putting together an anthology to raise money for Cancer research. The theme for the anthology is "Hope". I was lucky enough to be able to kick Cancer in the butt (LOL); however, many are not so lucky. Take care, comments and suggestions are always welcome. |

Hope
Out of the ashes springs life,
when existence within those ashes -
had been snuffed.
Growth proceeds, despite.....
the savage burn.
Mountains are climbed,
within the charred incubator...of the physical shell.
Inner Strength reaches potential,
with acceptance;
however, acceptance.............never equals giving up!
Nothing is certain.............and judgment cannot be made,
by Humans, as to precise Mortality..... for Humans
are not Divine, and do not DECIDE!
Smile every second..... laugh whenever possible.....
cherish those that matter - and those unknown, as well.
Rise with the Sun,
and slumber near Mother Moon.
Dream bigger and bigger.............and bigger each time,
NEVER GIVE UP.............NO MATTER THE CLIMB!
Reach for the Stars,
soar through the Sky,
BELIEVE IN YOURSELF,
and do more than try.

How inspiring!!! Hope is the difference, no matter the illness, as I could really relate to this with the chronic pain condition I have-especially this part-
Inner Strength reaches potential,
with acceptance;
however, acceptance.............never equals giving up!
Alot of people who are not ill don't understand that balance of thinking of what you CAN still do and not what you CANT-you accept that there are limitations, but then concentrate on the "I Can's". I love this uplifting poem.

| WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE...I KNOW THIS TO BE TRUE. I GIVE A 'SHOUT OUT' TO YOU AND ALL THOSE WHO ARE CANCER SURVIVORS AND TO THOSE DEDICATED WORKERS WHO ARE 'CLIMBING' BESIDE THOSE, WHO NOW 'CLIMB' WHAT SEEMS LIKE AN IMPOSSIBLE MOUNTAIN...ENCOURAGING THEM IN WHATEVER WAY THEY CAN. MAY GOD STRENGTHEN, GUIDE AND HEAL. THANKS FOR SHARING AND BLESSINGS. JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS |
