Baby you made your choices
so many weeks ago
you never truly loved me
that for sure I know.

You surely never realized
how many nights I cried
how lost I felt without you
that deep inside I died.

The fact of wanting, knowing
the pain of loving you
I know you never saw it
but gave me hell to go through.

My love for you was unique
deep, honest, true and straight
I tried so hard to hold it
not noticing it was too late.

You turned and went away
without a word of good-bye
and left me like a little bird
with broken wings
no more able to fly

and I cry......
