A fun poem for what happens when we think we strike it rich. The IRS does take their share of the wealth. From THE POETS CORNER from Classmates. |

A treasure chest filled with silver and gold and jewels from the earth and even the sea. Created once for all to see. Worn only by the Nobles once before. Now displayed behind safe doors. Under the sea a dream come true . If by chance it's discovered by you. Burried under dirt or sand, its a challenge to every man. FInd the treasure many will try. Just remember there are traps besides. Try or die is the last words you will hear. Untill they decide to try again next year. A treasure chest so beautifully filled. Just be careful you're not killed. A wordly object that brings out the greed And sends so many to their knees. It's pretty to look at and also to hold, but should you find it. Your friendy I R S will know. WRITTEN BY THE WISE OLD OWL
