My Husband Said is inspired by the love of my life, my husband Trevor.

My Husband Said
By Mary Potts

My husband said my face was ethereal
He said he loved my luscious lips,
My ample thighs
And even my finger tips
He loves to pontificate on  my phlegmatic exterior
And pedantic wit
My husband said I have a plethora of love
For my fellow man
He said my mellifluous voice
Could pacify even the most vile of creatures
And make them understand
He said ,though at times I put him to the test
He could not win with either brains or brawn
When I would sing my melancholy siren’s song
My husband said He loved my face, my arms, my lips,
And all the rest
But said above them all he loved my breasts the best
My husband said I love you
Then stroked my body and my mind
And I reciprocated in kind
