O death and folly cursed the dawn
That exposed the mighty deed.
Where death you lie and folly spent
The remnants of one's misdeed.
Though unexpected came the dawn
And folly ran to see.
But death was silent and so still-
No tomorrows will there be.
O folly in your carefree days,
When death was still far away.
You cherished life and sang your songs,
As death was still held at bay.
I know not when the hour came
When death and folly shared one grave.
Could it have been the dawn that rose,
That folly cursed in last breath gave?

Very interesting, George. I read this one a few times. It feels like a classic touch throughout, and it's a bit riddle-like. Different for you, but I like it a lot. Love and Hugs,
