Grace of the Skies

Peace at last:)

Shallow
reflections
in mirrored faces
and eyes of water
no tears are shed there
to remember the dead
once walked upon
with heavy feet.

You cannot
remove those shoes
to feel the cold
the wet in-between
your feet
too busy running
from yourself
fingers tracing
the outline
of your soul
in the fogged-up
glass you worship.

Lay down
in peace
in showers
of what is to come
of what is in faith
to believe
and
to love
with guided hands
raised to the clouds
where mindfulness
meets with
the colors of your dreams
where the spirit
combines with
the grace of the skies.

Freedom,
I shout-
Freedom,
I smile-

Freedom
here
and above,
Freedom
here
with your love.

well in this poem! BRAVA!

I was diagnosed on August 12th with a Second Brain lesion. First one was in the brainstem and was taken out in 1997. I was left with a brain disease. And, brain damage. I need surgery but have opted out. Too many risks. Could you say a prayer? Thanks.

Is it freedom from the cares of the world, while with God's love? Beautiful is the "Grace of the Skies". It makes a difference where we place our faith. Wonderful write.
