Fuss on the Bus

What’s the big fuss?
We get on the buss,
It takes us all to school.

We should not be loud,
It’s such a big crowd,
And not an impossible rule.

We can sit there and read,
If we want to succeed,
So much we can do to prepare.

We have time to burn,
Sit quietly and learn,
Soon we all will be there.

Now open a book,
Give it a look,
Don’t sit there and be lazy.

Don’t cause a big fuss,
When you get on the bus,
And drive the bus driver crazy!

I think I will xerox this off and give it to the bus drivers at the school where I teach. They consider it a good day if they get the kids to buckle up!

You captured the scene so well.
Nice job.

What a wonderful title! It hooks a reader to want to read further...about what all the fuss is about. Nicely done. Julie.

There is usually a lot of fuss on the bus... I am sure a lot of bus drivers would appreciate this lesson being taught. Nice poem.

Cute write and every word the truth...I have two students inparticular that get in trouble at least twice a month for making a big fuss on the bus...might have to read this to them...or yet allow them to read it, I teach first grade and by this time of the year my students are quite fluent readers. Great write, enjoyed and will be back to visit again.
Blessings and Merry Christmas,
