Moment of Night

In the face of too many tasks
My eyes simply close
My mind’s spontaneous effort
To gain some repose

Sublime composure
A moment of night
To refresh my thoughts
Help me feel bright …

In the face of too many tasks
When it’s impossible to dose
I witness the body’s workings
My breathing unfolds

And, then when I’m revived
I can somehow resolve
The course of required action
To arrive at my goal

"A Moment at Night"...to sleep, rewire, survive.
Thank you, Suzie, for a reminder and for sharing your
beautiful, thoughts provoking poem.
With warm regards Isabella.

Without that “moment of night” when we have deep sleep, we would all go crazy. However, it is even better if we are relaxed before we go to sleep. Modern life seems to throw more tasks our way with each passing year. We don't know how to simplify and remove unnecessary distractions like the cell phone. Once we do that, we can return a calmer, relaxed life.

Just keep putting one foot ahead of the other, or in your case one task at a time until all are resolved. Don't you just hate armchair quarterback telling you how to "fix" it? Still, I mean well and you seem to have the right attitude so you don't really need my advice. Eh! But it's free so it is yours.
