when life hits a rut

When there is no movement No tears or laughter No steps ahead or in reverse Each day a functional zero Life on hold, boring Others holding you captive In a kind of limbo Praying for a break in hopelessness A summer day at high noon Without a breeze Waiting for relief of darkness It does not come Waiting Waiting For something
