when life hits a rut
When there is no movement
No tears or laughter
No steps ahead or in reverse
Each day a functional zero
Life on hold, boring
Others holding you captive
In a kind of limbo
Praying for a break in hopelessness
A summer day at high noon
Without a breeze
Waiting for relief of darkness
It does not come

|Monks call this - the midday demon - where time seems to stop and things seem kinda dark.
