at a distance

 

 

 

stands a tree 

 

 

 

strong roots

 

 

 

good, but may rot.

 

 

 

man the same

 

 

 

his foods

 

 

 

will turn

 

 

 

the mind.

 

 

 

an earthworm 

 

 

 

avoiding the sun

 

 

 

crawling and searching

 

 

 

and the earth

 

pushing his life
