Beauty Behold
By: Kellen M. Parham
They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder,
But my eye beholds’ you, so is it true ?
That the appearance of my beauty,
Is only a mirror image of you?
Observing while reserving my reflection,
I noticed a smooth tone, condoned of your perfection,
Curves so perfected and features never faulted,
Seeing your illustrious stature,
Is like a reminisance of Queen Nefertiti’s bust, once sculpted,
I continue to stand in the mirror,
As if my feet rest bolted,
Prepossessed by your alluring body,
My mind persists and consists to undress you,
My hands dismiss to caress you,
Becoming deeply indulged into your tranquil skin,
Even deeper into your soul I seek peace within,
I find sanctity amongst your hugs and kisses,
You were sent to me, not through wishes, but through prayer,
From numerous days of searching,
I knew you were somehow meandering out there,
Somewhere, being destined by a divinity conquest so rare,
So grateful, you are now here,
In here, near and dear to my heart, and into my eyes,
I realize, beauty is truly, where my solution hides,
Deep into my soul, it revolutionized,
I’ve become transformed and reborn,
Into a beauty proposed to living strong,
And even stronger, because no longer, shall I search,
For you are the beauty, that my eyes; that I behold,
Be whole of my half, as I behold you at last,
Transfixed to the mirror image that reflects my task,
My task of finding true love and beauty,
Beauty behold, in my eyes,
The Lord has given me truly…
Truly the Lord has blessed me with you!
…And you are my Beauty…
Behold
