Once again, thank you for prayers.
It wasn't writers block, but my eyes, for which I will have surgery soon.

A bit tongue in cheek;-)

The heart
A vital muscle
Without which
Life ceases

A warm vibrant muscle
That causes
Life's blood to flow

We attribute to it
So many emotions

One wonders
Does the heart
Create passion
or
Does passion
Cause the heart
To beat with love
or
Is all the passion
We attribute
To the heart

Just a lot of
Poetic babble...?

Furthermore

Besides the effects
From  outside the body
Our senses cause us to feel

So, if  the mind tells the body
What to feel
Why are we so confused
About the way we feel
Concerning love and passion
or
Where the feeling
For love and passion
Otiginates

Can this too
Be attributed to
More Poetic babble...?

etw;-)

Ma sagt ja nix, man babbelt doch bloss, is an old saying in my old hometown, meaning, one doesn't say anything , but is just babbeling away, you did that very well, tongue in cheek. I can symphatize with you my dear Eileen, another emotion, I myself have developed eye problem, a detached retina might have to be fixed, and when that happens, I shall dictate my feelings, no matter where they come from,
matter of fact it might be a good thing, with less (out) sight more time for inight would'nt you think. Anyway you are in my thoughts, and good luck. Hugs! Jasmin Horst

Very much enjoyed.
Certainly my deepest wishes for smooth sailing through any medical waters.
May you soon be seeing colorful lights and hearing haunting chimes- which prod you to write again.
We gather around you like kids near Christmas.

I fully support the fine art of 'babble' and you do it with finesse and grace.

Cheers and best wishes on improved health.

I am saddened to hear of your physical struggles.
I pray all will go well chum. And lets regard 'babble'
as a babbling or gurgling of a pure stream that always
flows from your heart to the reader.
Happy holidays ...
luv r

PS ... ya gotta love Jerry's "glob of pulsating meat inside your chest" comment. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA (-:

Truly a question worth pondering, and I truly hope your eye surgery works wonders, Sis.

Wonderful poem Eileen. I hope your eyes get better. That must make it hard to use the computer. Thanks again for another great poem.

Of course it is poetic babble, Eileen. The "heart" cannot feel emotion. It can only feel physical pain, and even then it is the sensory connection from the nerves to the brain that really feel the pain, and I doubt VERY seriously if the heart has a "love" sensor so that the glob of pulsating meat inside your chest cavity is capable of feeling love. Interesting take, Eileen, and you are right on the money . . . If your surgery is or cataracts it is a simple (well! Messing with the eyes isn't exactly simple) operation. Dottie had it done a couple of years before she passed away.

Love it, Eileen! The eyes, and the 'eye', the human and the originator, sometimes sooo hard to perceive the line. Love and hugs. You'll be fine. And fettle-ish, too!

Eye surgery? Oh Lord, I'm so sorry you have to go through this...and this is from someone whose old orbs aren't working too well, lol!
