The Dream Catchers
The dream catchers have stolen my dreams
Without them I must sleep it seems
They might be gone forever I dread
For they are no longer in my head
It hung on the wall over my bed
Put it there, it is safe they said
I point at them and cry wizards
Thou art robbers with magic scissors
Can I even live without my dreams
How can I fly when I have no wings
Maybe, I should have read the instructions
I think this catcher has a malfunction
It says, ‘fear not, your dreams are nearby
Just lay your head and close your eyes
Through the center good dreams will return
As for the bad, in the morning they’ll burn’
That’s a relief, I thought they were gone
I must admit, I guess that I was wrong
careful I must be the next time I buy
To read the instructions, before I try
