Revolutionary Transformations

My words define my existence
However, it’s how I convey them
That expresses my commitment
Have you ever seen something through someone else’s eyes?
Or felt an emotion through someone else’s soul?
Have you melded with someone else’s mind?
Joined someone’s body to such a degree
That the two have become one?
I’ve known the desperateness of thirst
The bitterness of a longing never fulfilled
Now I know how it feels to be quenched
I have seen pieces of awareness
With the true meaning just beyond my grasp
I’ve come to finally see the transformation
The light bulbs in my head
Are exploding as thermal nuclear explosions
I’ve spent the last forty years of my life
In a desperate search for someone I thought never existed
It’s awe-inspiring to know that I was wrong
I marvel in the geographical distance
What kind of superior forces made it possible?
Brooklyn, New York meets Rapid City, South Dakota
How did that happen?
Unbelievable in the contemplations of reality
Yet true nonetheless
While my mind may consider the ramifications
My soul simply revels in pure contentment
