Celebrate Your Uniqueness

The Lord said to celebrate my uniqueness
But everyone seems to want me to conform
Yet each time I do it man's way
My mind becomes twisted like a storm
The bible says we are a peculiar people
So that means I will never fit in
And when others want me to do things their way
Against God and my conscience, well that's sin
John the Baptist ate locust and wild honey
But he prepared the way of the Lord
He faced rejection and ridicule
And to religious people he caused much discord
I must truly follow the shepherd
By celebrating who I am and not stray
For He alone is my Savior
Who teaches me the more excellent way
