Mimi Will Bake a Cake

Poetry easy for children to read. Kindergarten, 1st grade

To/day Mimi will băke a căke.

It will tăke a flăke of hay.

Mimi will go out the gāte and get a flake of hay.

The kēy to make this hay cake is to mix the flake with a rake.

Shē will add mŭd and cŭd with her love.

Mix in an ĕgg.

Rāke it and pat it and put it in a pan.

Heat in the sun till it is dŏne.

Then Mimi will say?

This is whăt it takes to make a mud cake.
