A Look at Early Spring

Green popcorn buds from warmed limbs,

Winter's tanned grass, wind-combed, colors verdant,

Gentle, occidental zephyrs elicit "ahhs" from sun-starved skin.

Spring warms winter's blue-iced grip,

As sol's soft suffusion swaths silken tendrils,

Reaching skyward to dance in newly birthed light.

Crocuses crack still iced plots, as sun warmed beds spot green.

Buds finished their work shoving out old leaves now sprout, Presaging – Spring’s Green!

almost...

Try cutting it down to the bare bones.
Don't worry about it making sense.

I like this simple poem about Spring. It leaves no illusions, yet is full of hope...Spring indeed IS coming! Your phrases are unique...I like "winter's tanned grass"..."sun-starved skin"..."winter's blue-iced grip"...best one--"crocuses crack still iced plots"...there are an abundance, and I enjoyed reading them and picturing the wonderful process that takes place in March!
