when in heaven
an angel falls...
i gazed upon the stars shining
in days of youth gone by
so much was in the timing
oh,how i did try to fly,
that time was meaningless and carefree
how i chased all i could
for whatever it was to be
was caught between the bad and good,
the years passed as moments
each an eternity upon my soul
as a demon who only torments
of what shall be the final toll,
...to be reborn.

|if it was true to be
would i ever really be free
this is a dream i may never see
and so i leave it all to thee
painful and honest i am only me
watching the aging of the tree
where i felt the sting of the honey bee
bent down upon my knee
and i prayed
i am tired now. this life is to end-another to begin? i don't want to know anymore what is evidently not mine for the taking
he will do as he does the choices are not mine
and hence that word..."fine."

to be reborn...
so many 'moments' that 'eternity upon' the soul...
you are so beautifully contemplative here, oh, we are getting older, perhaps and longing..
painful, touching...the angel may have fallen, but seems here to be seeking new life, anew, indeed...

|engagingly pensive self-reflection, richard.
the mood echoes in one's mind; alas, to be reborn, to rise to a new
level of consciousness, to attain that elusive sacred unity and its
attendant eternal peace... hmmm...
a truly wonderful read.
