The Fate Of The Marigold

Once it sat majestically,
On my precious window sill.
Now with wilted hands it beckons,
For a final resting place.

Vibrant, colorful and attractive.

A perfect blend of a happy bunch,

Encased in a crystal vase of love.

A thoughtful gift from a loving  heart.

A perfect fragrance for the nose.

Once it sat majestically,

On my precious window sill.

Now with wilted hands, it beckons,

For a final resting place.

So it is with human life,

Destined too, to experience,

The fate of the marigold.

One day, entombed  in a urn, he too shall sit,

on a favorite mantel.

Until at last he  is revived,

To spring forth eternally.

The question then, is this; my friends,

Where will you spend eternity?

Hello Sukky, I read your poem,"The Fate Of The Marigold". I found that it tells a beautiful story. One of birth, life, death and reserection. God's love is shown in all those tmes. Great Work. Please feel free to visit my site here in the "Den"

Your poem - I absolutely LOVED IT!

Yes, I want to spend eternity with our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Another way to ask folks is to just say, "Are you heaven bound?"

Merry Christmas and God Bless you,

John Michael

Flowers are from God's handiwork and to be enjoyed. Many are seasonal but some are annual and come up each year. I believe the marigold might be one of them. Correct me if I am wrong. I do know mums come up and this fall is Mum month and there are all colors to show God's splendid paintings.
