I live in a senior citizens building on the Detroit river. I met Amie here, always ready to serve in any capacity. Great friend!
Amie, one of God's Children,
lived on earth to be 77,
lifted from earth bound for heaven!
She brought Joy everywhere,
a halo now adorns her hair,
our hearts split open in despair.
We'll miss you, your smile and flair!
Thank God for the joy she gave.
Her children and family truly blest.
Amie never fainted under duress,
You see she was a friend of mine,
roared when needed , O you gentle lamb,
I am blest to know a lady like her,
thanks to the great God, I am who I Am!
We will miss you here at 8330.
sister Amie on the river,
with your great bit heart,
free spirit a true giver!
To the Cunningham family brother Lewis,
all who knew our sister still morns,
Amie left earth so a child could be born

|Oh, so beautifully rendered, Michael. The spirit of Amie floated through this very, very special poem of hers. I hope you were allowed to read this during the funeral service.|
