Believe

I don't believe in love and I don't believe in magic.
I do believe the truth is hard to find.
I don't think earthly souls will ever comprehend
How lies and lores mislead an untaught mind.

I believe the earth has secrets, unknown mysteries-
Someday maybe I will find the key
To unlock the unseen door, illuminate my soul
Allow the truth to finally set me free

I don't believe in failure, although I have some demons
I shudder when I dwell upon my past.
If I could face these monsters, and just forgive myself
Then I might find some hapiness at last

I'm sure there's something out there- It's something that I need.
I also sense a deeper purpose lies;
But I can't solve the riddle, alone, unsure, misled
Swimming through the sea of myths and lies

I believe that life has meaning; there must be a reason
I haven't found, so I'm not finished yet.
But at my journey's end, when I have found my prize
The truth revealed will be my purpose met.
