Turning away from outside influences.

The twinkle in your eyes
lets me know this was your plan
You left me stranded in my dreams
broken to all the pieces of my life.

I don’t know how he did it
but I’m better than I ever knew I could be.
I no longer need you
to help bring me down
your twisted ways, your cold heart.

Dark as blue, unforgiven and fallen
the choice was hard, but my path is clear.
That evil twinkle in your eye
no longer haunts me.

For the Son rises in me
at the beginning of every day.
