For many I have known though out my life
Valentine’s Day is candy for a lover or a wife
Some give flowers, jewelry, or a special gift
Forgetting to do so would certainly cause a tiff
Now this is nice, and everyone loves presents
But does it really celebrate your lover’s essence?
To raise your lover or wife high up on a pedestal
Remembering the things that makes your love full
When you first saw your lover and your eyes met
How they lit up so bright, with their twinkle set
Lips curled upward in approval, warmly inviting
Light amber blush upon your faces, so exciting
The first date, rethinking every word before you spoke
And both of you giggling and touching hands with stroke
First time on the dance floor, hands in the appropriate place
That peck of a kiss, followed swiftly with a warm embrace
Now the true gift for Valentine’s Day celebrations
Is the sharing of those sweet memories and occasions
The rekindling of the love that started long ago
The love that holds it all together, on fire and aglow

| Well this is a really good Valentine write Ryan. Hey I think I am getting some of the same type mail you did from an idiot. Thinks he is going to show up at my door. Jeez I wish he would make my day. |

| Very nice, Ryan. I love the way you recapture the first date. I'm not one for "assigned" remembering and token gifts.. would much rather have something from the heart on another day, so this really hit a warm spot with me. I think my favorite Valentine gift was a box of Sucrets with a ribbon around them one year when I was sick. |
