He must be a true poet ....Life.

I knew a poet, who once said,
“I write though I have
nothing at all to write about.
And when I am writing,
I never think about
the rhymes and the metre.
I only think about
how to express myself
in a simple way.
But when I have finished,
if the poem is not expressive,
I know it is not a poem.”
Ah! Today,
after all these years,
I discern that
he must be a true poet,
“Life”- for he writes
when there is nothing
at all to write about.
Old tales in verses modern,
neo tragedies in antique metres.

JUST BRILLIANT!! Totally knockout, Bhuwan, and a true flash of inspiration. Wonderful both in concept and execution. You are a good student of the Master Poet, Life. In fact, you must be his top scholar! Very well done, and thank you. LOL Kate xx... still haven't heard from Peg... have you?!

This is an intriguing composition. It strikes the dynamo of
my imagination. "He must be a true poet... Life." is a true
poem.

Long healthy creative life, Poet!

This is so good. The poet doesn't have to battle with that "block" so many of us think we have. There will always be things to write about just like there will always be things to paint. Exceptional poem.

You give us alot to think about here Bhuwan.

I believe this happens to a lot of people, Bhuwan. Many times I have found myself sitting a the computer with an opened, blank Word document and then, poof! Some idea hits me and I write. Many times, the ideas have something to do with my life; many other times, they have nothing to do with me, at all. I've written poems about grieving the loss of a child, though I've never been a parent, etc. It truly depends on what we're 'meant' to do.
Very expressive write,
Jill
