Precious Time

Where did the time go?
Was I disorganized?
Was I too slow?
I don't know.

It's just gone.
Out of sight--Kaput!
I said, " Right away."
Into my mouth went my foot.

So, here I struggle,
With the river of time.
Swimming upstream,
To wrack my mind.

Time is so precious,
The clock does not stop.
I must be careful,
Or my time will be up.

And so I ponder,
Wasting my time,
How will I will finish,
This new rhyme?

Sorry. Time's up!

Wasting time worrying about time... then redeeming the time through poetry. Great job!

No kidding, time waits for no-one. ;) This is something we all could lend an ear to.

Time does end abruptly--just like that!

I also agree with May Lu on that line.

The rest is wonderful!!!!!

The only line that went out of place was:

"Or my time will be up." - this was awkwardly fitted into the stanza.
