Birgit and Roger
I worked in front line security for 15 years, and Christmas and New Year were an absolute nightmare for shoplifters !
The once a year professional pickpockets and thiefs surfaced like rats out of a pipe...:)

Now that is c.l.e.v.e.r....
A shame that something so special as Christmas and the honoring the birth of Christ brings out the sleeze but it happens. Has crime gone up or am I just getting old?
I hope your Christmas was special. |

This is really cute y'all! As far as my computer bug woes (using my husband's computer) I can't seem to get my manuscript written my hand typed out. For me, I could just throw something together and call it a "story post". . . I need to be calm, get a bit of rest (been up since 7-ish Friday a.m. (the SNOW day), and hit my creativity fresh BEFORE my grandson arrives at noon 12/10.
You know, I'm more anxious to see what I'm going to write for Exhibitions" than the readers I think! The woes of the technology--will the computer grinch ever let up!?!?
blessin's

Sarcasim before christmas
T'was a few nights before christmas and all through the land
Little minds were all sturring with pencils in hand
A great christmas poem they just recently read
and something about it just lodged in their head.
Amazed by an author, with such insite and wit
and thought how the words just all seemed to fit
How could a man, no smarter than I,
have captured such beauty on his very first try.
I studied the lines, memorized the words to the letter
and said to myself, surely I can do better.
I'll give it a try, I know that I could,
write a christmas peom that will be just as good.
To my notepad I fly and the hours go by
and the words by the hundreds flow free
I first rearrange them, but then always change them
cause their meanings somehow don't agree
After hours of struggle and toil and trying
I find that my writing just isn't flying
Embarrassed by knowing , I have nothing to share
the results of my writing could never compare
Like most defeated , I sarcasticly lash back
and poke fun at the good and try make it look black
But would it be better, these peoms to enjoy
rather than finding humor in what I can destroy.
Sarcasim exists only in the defeated.

lol I worked in retail management for 20 years, and I'm sure although the names have been changed, that I had these very two working for me!
Truly this should be posted on every retail bulletin board across this country!
Thanks for the memories!
