Negativity’s Identity Exposed
h lena jones
I never did like you, Negativity
You’re a conniver and destroyer
You convince my friends
They will never amount to anything
You contaminate them with
Depression, alcoholism, allergies, dementia
And a whole lot of other dis-eases
You hound my friends until they
Totally believe they have these things
And are stuck with them because they deserve it
You even have the nerve to whisper in their ear
That no one, not even God, cares a hoot!
The truth is, Negativity, you tell a mountain of lies
Because that’s the only way you could survive
You prey on the emotionally weak
Because they have no fight
And that makes you
Nothing but a coward
Humanities weakest link!
You should be hung, drawn, and quartered
For you are of no use to man or beast
You hide your true identity as Negativity
But now I’ll expose you for who you truly are—
The devil in disguise, nothing more!
Ha! You didn’t think I knew, did you?
To you, my beloved friends
Held captive by this merciless impostor
Break free, now you know the truth
There is one much greater waiting with open arms
To rescue you from Negativity’s grip
Pursue Him, He is pursuing you
He loves you, for He created you
In His eyes you are perfect
Look to Him and He will
Strengthen you beyond
Your wildest imagination!
It is time to sing a new song
A song of hope and encouragement
A song of praise and worship!
“Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lifted up,
ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.”
