| This sure has me purring, Debby... I had no idea about this Beltane stuff and I have just celebrated my 50th on the 4th, on the day that Saturn appeared so close and bright in the sky and the picture of me pointing at it shows my fingers almost on fire, captured in some eery light! :)) A wonderful mix of pastoral, spiritual and cultural references here, and, for Earth Girls like me, time to kick off the shoes and go hug a tree! Thank you for the fruitiness of this. Kate xx |

Dear Debby,
Beltane is an ancient and sacred celebration of Life. Let us show gratitude to our Creator by lighting candles that will illuminate the paths of all humanity. Thank You for honouring this special time with your poem.

| Hi Debbie - i lit two candles this night - one for a grand mothers birthday and the end of a war 62 years ago, and one just now for Beltane - then to find your poem - how lovely and full of good life it is, the illustration is too. Thank you for this poem :o) Nicky x |
