| This was so cute, and I loved how you told it as a small boy would speak. Too bad the magic is replaced with the truth...but for those of us "big kids"....Santa will always exist! |

Inside the mind of the child - excellent meter and rhyme. Now go tell that boy it's a lie! Santa really does exist - I'm 50 and I know!
Keith
PS: Please also tell him that if he busts his sister in the chops again, I'll send the Necromancer or the Stealer to visit him on Xmas night!
Blessings |

I never understood the inner wish of people that go telling children that this or that doesn't exist, they are like messengers of a devilish entity that thrives on making people unhappy.

Well litle Johnie, sitting out at the Mall the past week or so I have been asked this question many times...and my answer is always "If you believe in me then I am real."
My two grandchildren both recognized me as being Poppy as soon as they saw me but...to them I was helping Santa out by filling in for him and they loved the idea that Poppy was Santa's helper.

When my daughter asked me about Santa, I said, "Do you really want to know? It might cut down on your Christmas gifts?"
She said, "Yeah tell me."
Boy, was I wrong!!!
It only upped the price of her gifts.
No more mystery, only requests.
Love,
Walt |

Tell Lil Johnny that in his heart is love and compassion, the very things that make Santa Claus real.

Karla~
Now if THIS doesn't make your eyes water and your throat lump up, nothing will. Such a simple request from a young boy who only wants to know the truth about Christmas. Very well penned; brava!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your twin, Karen Lynn. :D
I hope Santa brings Johnny the answer to his sad question! And I hope Santa brings YOU what YOU want! :) |
