Parade of the Dancing Leaves

Parade of Dancing leaves

Pausing, on that windy stretch of empty morning highway, being treated and blessed to
preview the parade, of the dancing leaves
spontaneous in the execution, of the formation
captivatingly delightful, mesmerizing to see
tumblers, jugglers and dancers
performing

wind whistling the music
Trees rolling and shaking
applause, applause
tall grass bending, happy leaves dancing

Wave after wave a constant succession, a living motion
scurrying, and shuffling feet

Clowns and twirlers
black birds falling out of the sky
laughing

What a strange sight to see
all awash in sunshine
building to a crescendo of festivities
approaching
the grand finale the last lonely leaf
skittles past ,hurrying to
keep the rhythm
moving to the beat
the last dancing
leaf
