“I have noticed that what cats most appreciate in a human being,

Is not the ability to produce food, which they take for granted,

But for his or her entertainment value.”

Geoffrey Household

Besides our three valiant cavern knights

We also have many court jesters around

They always make me laugh hilariously

They are truly delightful, devilish clowns

Our two very best are the very best of friends

Old Fat Louie and his partner in jesting, Monty

They delight in their many mischievous adventures

And they usually make me howl, with absolute glee

And as you can see from this recent photograph

They are indeed, extremely good actors, as well

When the Queen enters the chamber, they pretend

But as soon as she leaves, in their antics they excel

Old Fat Louie immediately rushes off in search of some food

He truly loves raiding the Queen’s Kitchen, both night and day

Devilish Monty loves dragging her undergarments from the hamper

And many a morning, the Queen finds them in the window, on display

I always howl with hilarious laughter

When any of our court jesters amuse me

Alas, the Queen is not as easily entertained

And she usually takes her displeasure out on me

But to me, her very humble servant

Our castle would just not be the same

Without both our knights and our jesters

So I smirk, and I bow to the Queen again

And now it’s very easy to see,

Why I so very often so quickly retreat,

To the well protected Kostro Kritter Kave;

One truly needs to learn when to withdraw,

And when to stand and fight, valiantly brave

And Your Local Animal Shelter,

Probably Has Several Delightful Jesters,

Who Would Love To Love and Amuse, You, Too.

Great funny bone lifter poem Ed!
I enjoy the company of neighbors Court Jesters'
We had a wolf-hybrid, BEAR, I miss him! Died of that contag. animal disease, that went through alll our 6 cats/kittens! It killed my soul, and now we have a smaller home!
My heart is always with every pet, their antics I miss!
Write On!
Warmest Blessings and Peace, Warrior Lady Sweet Sheooxoo
P.s We had 2 pigs too, Hickory and Smoke and 11 chickens
and 2 baby parakeets/ and my pet Iguana, ShaZam - and his friends, the fast lizards, brown like trees, I forgot the names. Crickets and mealy worms were their feed, and a soft fruit block. I miss all my pets! My heart breaks when I think of them! Glad I still have many pictures.

ED ...

Although I love critters - especially when I visit at others homes - I enjoy NOT dealing with
the negatives of ownership. Until just recently, I only had one pet - MY PET ROCK!

No Muss, no Fuss, no Food, no Mood - just before Xmas, received a dozen baby Goldfish, as
a gift! In two days, 10 died - Military funeral . THE GREAT BOWL - SWIRL, SWISH, AWAY WENT THE FISH! Two remain now, I am their Pal - Feed twice a day, in their little bowl they stay - Fresh water, clean the Bowl - I am still a Happy Ole Soul!

QUEEN - KNIGHTS - JESTERS ... and YOU, the lowly PAWN - hope you enjoy your nights on the LAWN!

My two poodles were pretty funny Ed, they were toys, very small little dogs. They loved to play, both of them are dead now though.
The little babies were even funnier. A great jest

Oh boy can i relate to this.
We got the main court Jester around here, namely Sylvester, and y'all know why he got that name LOL, his older much more mature old friend, who dosent go in for much prankery these days, ( Cheetah) hisses and walks off when he starts, and last night, we managed to aquire yet another edition...I've called her Belle, she looks like Sylvester in female form..Just as well he's desexed, but she's not, YET!!
ANd no one is amused presently, hahaha.

I like recording their antics and uploading to youtube, one oughta stick a jesters hat on the head of respective clown cat, just for laughs.
OOOps pardon me, for rabbitting on, loved ur write Ed, and good to catch up.
How much do you spend on animal food a week LOL, the mind boggles eh.
Love Ch'erie

The species of cat are smarter than wee...intuatively they prejudge us, pre guess us and mock us in their feline way with eyes that slwly close and copen and fire in their eyes before they ounce but...
Understand this...their love is never compromised.
Blessings and love,
