  When I was seven

  I had a wooden dog

  Named Rover

  He was about a foot high

  And yellow.

  I don’t know why I had him

  I took him to bed with me at night

  When I rolled over on him

  He was hard and sometimes I woke up

  But it was ok

  He was my friend.

  And his memory still is.
