I sometimes give myself difficult writing tasks just to see if I can do it. In this case I wanted to create a series of poems that went alphabetically forward, backward or both. This was my very first.

I'll save you the dictionary lookup. Xiphias are swordfish.

Warning: If you let your imagination flow with this it can be graphic in a Jaws sort of way.

AlphaBet C's

A big clam dipped evenly forward.

Gulls hawkishly instigated joyous knowledge.

Lunch made new.

Oh people, question rising seas.

Tides undulating, varied where

xiphias yearn zealously.

Zealously yearning Xiphias

wait voraciously, understanding

that somewhere racing quickly

people offer newly made lunch.

Killing, jabbing, instinctively hurling

Grey friction enters

deep, cold bay areas.

Extremely creative and a story unfolds of life in the sea, well done...
