Paul, I just emailed your poem, "Hear My Song" to my two daughters and to my AD email friend Liana Margiva. It's one of my favorites. And, of course, I couldn't help but stop by your den site again just to indulge myself with your wonderful poetry. Your words always are thought-provoking and so very easy on the tongue in cadence and rhythm. "Am I My Brother's Keeper" is nothing less than another masterpiece.
With admiration and respect,
Richard |

This is really what it is all about. We can help Martha and George, and we can all do our part to keep us free, but congress though, now that is hopeless ... LOL. But no, we must all do our part to watch out for our neighbor and keep a wary eye on the passerby. We should all give a little something to the survival of a child in a third world country, and we should all sit down and reason with each other, instead of going to war and killing innocent people and young soldiers. Am I my brother's keeper? Yes, and I am only too happy to be there for those in need. It is really too bad that not everyone thinks this way, and are only content to live in their own little world of selfishness. Thank you for sharing, Paul.
May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister, Barbie |

| Great piece of mind-bending here, Paul. Great question. Hard answers! The state of the world is FORCING us to enter the ring of debate, mutual understanding, and positive collaboration. Being my brother's keeper has to do with finding mutual paths through to the truth and working together to achieve a safe and harmonious resolution, perhaps. Not forcing my views on someone else or telling them how I think they should go about things. Or ignoring them if they don't accept my stance. Human nature being what it is, I think we are so used to looking after number one and having it "easy" that "each to his own" has been the rule of thumb as we have inhabited times of relative ease and plenty. Now the pressure's on for a more global view of life and survival, maybe. Thanks for this thought-provoking nugget! Kate xx |

| It seems that all things evolve out of the past with new principles, and I can honestly say that with some folks I sure wouldn't want to be their keeper. However, your poem is beautifully written to create a very thoughtful mood--with a great deal to think about. |
