This poem is indeed FICTION.
We are born, grow up, fall in love and not think of the day when we must part, the day we have no say over as we try to continue on with life as we look through the window of a distorted, broken heart.

One Day We Must Part
October 23, 2008
Written By: Rose Marie Rideout

Looking through the window,
Of a distorted broken heart,
It makes me wonder darling,
How or why did this pain all start.

I watch you as you sit alone upon the bed,
The tears are running freely from your face,
You tell me you’ll be leaving me soon,
As my heart begin to race.

Share with me your thoughts dear,
Tell me what has brought this on,
You know our love is meant forever,
It is together,  forever we belong.

Let me hold you close darling,
Let me wipe away the pain you feel,
Tell me what has brought this on,
This dream that can’t be real.

You say you have things to tend to,
It’s not long before your final day,
For God has made an offer,
That’s why you’re going away.

They say there is no cure Dear,
I must suffer with this distorted, broken heart,
Because your time will end through sickness,
They say that we will have to part.

Let me hold you in my arms,
Together we will cry our tears,
Not knowing how to handle,
One of life’s worst fears.

I’ll continue to watch you,
Through the window of a broken heart,
As I silently cry in pain,
Knowing one day we must part.

A lot of emotion and heartached in this Rose as to contemplate such a situation is to have to feel it as well. Very moving and thought provoking.

Heartbreaking write Rose. I pray it's just a story, but if not, you will both be in my prayers. God bless.

" Heartbreaking write " Rose
But I agreed with your words
We never think that one day soon
We must part
And how painful it is to see your love one
In pain and know that He / She
Will soon journey back home?
Beautifully writing thoughts but a very sad
And realistic truth
I hope and pray that this write is just a poetic view
Of thoughts
Peace Love and Light…..Morning Star

Wow! Rose, this is the saddest, most beautiful poem I have ever read.
I sure hope this is not your case. The loss of a love one is bad enough, but when you see them in so much pain everyday knowing there is nothing you can do is awful. Thanks for sharing and know I love you and pray for you every day.

Love and blessing.

Yes how sad when you've been deeply in love and shared everything in life together, then to have to say good-bye. Sure touched my heart.

Rose,

This was so heartbreaking. Going through something like that with a loved one is excruiating. I hope you are not going through this. And if you are, may the Lord bless you.
