How Many Times Have I Slipped & Fell?

When you think your lost and there's no way back, reach out and HE will be there. No matter how many times you think you disappoint HIM, HE won't forsake you!

How Many Times Have I Slipped & Fell?

How many times I’ve slipped and fell, I could never count.
But God was there constantly helping me always to surmount.
Sometimes I felt I had fallen into the deepest and darkest Hell.
No matter how far I had descended, no matter how often I fell.

From the depths of earths crevasses deep and extremely black.
God, always would reach out to me and he’d pull me back.
HE’d stand there with a smile and with an opened embrace.
HE acted like it was expected, knowing I would fall from Grace.

That was when I finally realized, that God knew all along I’d fall.
For HE gave me freedom of choice, when his son gave HIS all.
HE doesn’t want us to be puppets, for that was not in his plan.
HE wants us to grow in his love, whether be woman or a man.

If we were all simply perfect, we would have no need for HIM.
This is what God wants us to realize, before our light grows to dim.
How very valuable we become, when we make it through life’s trials.
With no lame excuses for mistakes we’ve made and no inept denials.

HE sees all our accomplishments, HE sees us when we fall short.
God loves us through good and bad times and HE will never abort.
When we get ourselves in very deep, HE’s always there to pull us up.
HE gives us encouragement & gifts to aid us and they refill our cup.

O’ my precious Lord, I love & thank you, for never giving up on me.
I could never have grown, if I didn’t have the love of THEE!

I've slipped and fallen myself, many times, and not just because I wanted to get away from God! He is there to take me back, love on me, even when I don't deserve it. That's what makes having a relationship with Christ so wonderful; I can't imagine not having Him in my life! Very well penned, Bonnie; brava!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D
