Peppermint

A God given wonderous plant.

Lord knows
everyone loves the Rose
even though the thorns stick
the rose they will pick
Fresh growing peppermint
I could fall in a patch
on purpose no accident

I know I wouldn't come out
smelling like a rose
but I would have a smiling nose
I actually wouldn't mind finding
where peppermint grows
I could dump peppermint
in any stinky river that flows

Where's a great big bunch
I can brew it in my tea for lunch
A big bag of peppermint candy
would simply be a dandy
Escuse me while I trip
any kind would come in handy
God gave us the rose
but peppermint is better
for the nose
This is just the way it goes

OPG,

Cute write. Think roses smell better though.

Cleverly done, OPG. I have a huge patch of English mint here that seems intent on taking over everything. It smells like peppermint to me. Love and peace,

This is as good as a little mint in my tea. Well done.
