It’s Fall somewhere north of here
With rainbow colored leaves
The aroma of a fireplace
Harmony and peace
The smell of a leather jacket
The coarseness of blue denim
Plaid flannel up against my cheek
I smell and feel and dream him
You there over yonder
The magic is still here
Fall is a sweet reminder
You’ll always remain near
The season comes round gently
Then turns the world to wonder
While I await another year
When you still dwell up yonder.

Well I live in the world of the tall trees (Nova Scotia) and my favorite clothes are blue jeans and my leather jacket and I have built and sat around many a fire in the hearth...so this poem of yours made me feel you were talking directly to me...ahhhh sweet dreams.

Such beauty in these lines of missing a loved one, Susan - well done. Reminds me of my own Daddy, who passed away last year. I miss him. :(

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

The Silver Maples brighten the day with their multi-hued magenta and yellow, some still with green on top. Not much can match the brilliance of fall, except maybe brilliance of love shining in blue eyes.

Ah, yes indeed, Susan there is rainbow-colored leaves up yonder. In fact someone sent me some pictures of their front and back yard covered with multi-hued colored leaves. It is a lonely time, the waiting time.
