Silent was the night
in its ebony blackness,
where within its folds
lies eternities stillness.

Yet here planets orbit
and star worlds reside.
Space casts no shadows
on the emptiness it hides.

Silence is the voice
ne'er heard or spoken.
Where time has no meaning
and life has not awoken.

The frontiers of space
liven expectations-
that one day we will find
life, beyond explanations.

A great rhythm in this, George. I like this mysterious feeling you've created - the unknown. Hugs,

Alive with wonder and possibility, Gorgeous. You give us such a sense of awe, vastness and anticipation here. The sky is definitely NOT the limit and I hope your book does equally well, far exceeding your wildest hopes and dreams for it. I'm sure it will be your Magnum Opus, defying all expectations! :)) xx

I think it is exciting to think about what can be found on other plants, but there is a huge part of me that hopes and prays that the monies used for these frontiers can be better used on good ole' planet earth, specifically the U. S.

I loved the poem and I hope you don't think I'm being a humbug, just expressing an opinion.
God bless you, Kathy

PERHAPS THERE IS LIFE OUT THERE..I DON'T KNOW. BUT THIS I DO KNOW; ALL CREATION IS GOD'S...EARTH AND SPACE. AND WHEREVER HE LEADS MAN AND THEN GIVES HIM THE KNOWLEDGE TO EXPLORE AND UNDERSTAND... I MUST ACCEPT AS 'HIS' WILL AND I WILL NOT QUESTION WHETHER WE SHOULD OR SHOULD NOT GO FORTH. THIS IS A WONDERFUL WRITE...A PROVOKER OF THOUGHT. THANKS FOR SHARING AND BLESSINGS. This thoughtful poem has the sound of mystery--as space certainly is. The descriptions create mood of all the vastness out there that we know know little about.

George,

It would be rather conceited of us to think we were the only beings in the universe. Well written and thought out.
