Jesus and the Pasta Makers: Pasta Bible

Moses atop Mt. Sinai
receiving the divine recipe
Holy anointing oil,
myrhh, cinnamon,
cane and olive oil,

The Beatles sing
Let it Be, speaking
words of wisdom,

Jesus crushed the olives
between two stone wheels,
laid the olives out on mats
for slow pressing held as
sacred long ago,

barrel makers, cobblers,

the pasta makers cutting
the dough into ribbons,
sifted flour into the hollow
of the rock, broke eggs into
the hollow, olive oil and salt
to follow forking it into a viscous
paste, Jesus came in and used
both his hands to knead the dough,
working in water, pushing the dough
with the heel of his leathery hands,
covered it for one hour, drank wine
with the pasta makers,
