The Queen

A kitty cat is the queen until her mistress comes along. Told from the cat's point of view.

Kitty cats come and go,
Some fast, some slow.
Not me, I'm here to stay,
That is, if I have my way.

I laze on Mama's bed,
After I've been fed.
I'm here to stay,.
If I have my way.

I hear footsteps down the hall,
And hear Mama's plaintive call,
Abandon Mama's bed I must,
Of she will turn me into dust.

A cat I must become,
Not a queen upon her throne,
Because I want to stay,
That is, if I have my way.

Aw..Cute poem! I now have 5 cats which I've claimed. They were left abandoned by neighbors who moved away but they took refuge at my place. I guess they sensed a kind soul so I've been taking good care of them and truly they've become such incredible pets! They're so cute and I love them dearly! Love your poem Carol and thanks for sharing another great one! :)

I can hear her purring, and I'm pretty sure this is how my dog thinks too!
Best Wishes,
Christine
