I posted a few weeks ago about a precious little girl named Jennifer Short who had been abducted on last August. She was only nine yrs old. This is her update from the newspaper:

Jennifer Short's remains were discovered Sept. 25 near a home in Stoneville, N.C., about 30 miles south of her home. She had been shot in the head, Rockingham County Sheriff Sam Page said.
Jennifer had been missing since Aug. 15, when her parents — Michael Short, 50, and Mary Short, 36 — were found shot to death in their Bassett, Va., home. Investigators had said they believed the girl had been abducted.
"The skeletal remains in Rockingham County have been determined to be a positive match with the DNA profile of Short and are hers," Page said.
The investigation and search for the little girl had been emotionally difficult, said Sheriff Frank Cassell of Henry County, Va

THANK YOU AD for your prayers for this little angel. I wish with all my heart it could have been a different ending. The sadness overwhelms me. Let's continue our prayers for her family....Thank you AD for bearing with me. No, I didn't personally know this child, but she lived not too far away from me. I had such empathy for her and her family who has waited so long for news. Thank you for reading this. God bless all of you.....

Linda, thank you for posting that about Jennifer. As of this date, Oct. 13, 2002, one man is in custody in Canada and not yet charged, and we all await to see if justice will prevail. I have worked too many cases such as this, and it always breaks my heart. I wrote a poem, "Suffer Thy Children," years ago, dedicated to another young girl who suffered the same ends. She was only five and thrown into the ditch with the trash. My prayers to all who suffer at the hands of those who do not have a conscience. God bless you.
Take care,
