Love's Ruins

When good looks cracked and fel apart,
I didn't wail and moan from the heart.
If my love had been shown the gate,
I'll not let my heart turn to hate.
Some men can't deal with love's sad end,
When women says let's just be friends.
Male or female hate to discover,
That their love affair is over.
Some are gullible, some are wise,
Who is it then that buys love's lies?

need. 'need' buys love's lives because of all the other things we need in life, 'love' is the main thing we 'need' to survive. so, where ever it comes from...we buy it. thanks for the share

"...Who is it then that buys love's lies?.." I'm thinking we all do,,, at one time or another,,, at least if we're lucky. What's that old saying? "Better to have loved and lost....." Even after losing a love, there are blessings to count.

Nice one Jerry, makes you stop and think. Dick

I agree with Ruan 150% you can give all your love and devotion to another, but if it is not returned in like manner love's flame will slowly die. Just as lies kill that love once had. There comes a time you must become wise even if changes have been made.

Very good Jerry, it's as though you have read the minds of many who have been there.

I loved this very well done piece

The trouble with love is we give it everything we have got and, when the other doesn't appreciate the love and loyalty, something inside of us dies.
You have it spot on - Love is indeed the greatest liar of them all.
