I am not where I used to be,
I am not where I am going...
But I am on my way.
I AM NOT WHERE I USED TO BE -
afraid, craving the approval of others,
marred in low self-esteem, treading
an emotional roller coaster.
I AM NOT WHERE I AM GOING -
so-so, sometimes up and sometimes down,
having less meaning in life than is healthy
or possible, not fully accepting responsibility
for my own happiness.
BUT I AM ON MY WAY -
to the Promised Land to claim my inheritance...
all the good that is meant for me;
I am traveling at an accelerated speed, allowing
neither distractions or illusions to slow me down.
I see the Pormised Land and, unlike Moses, I
will get there. I will get there soon because I
don't have any time to lose.
I am not where I used to be,
I am not where I am going...
But I am on my way.
I WILL GET THERE.
