The spiritual wealth cannot be destroyed
Even if nations crumble and leave a void

The Value of a Human Being

The spiritual wealth cannot be destroyed
Even if nations crumble and leave a void
But the peoples’ will and physical existence
Will secure their life and their persistence

Spiritual values cannot be passed on
By either a family member or companion
We must maintain our inner faith and feelings,
Not human-created religions and dealings

Not be attracted by fame or publicity

Not by high schools or university

What ultimately counts is within ourselves

And can be found if in oneself one delves

Throughout life we try to discover the truth,

We come across little particles since our youth
We can feel reassured when we see our spark
Which indicates that we will not stay in the dark

Different signs allow us to take a step forward
We aim to stay on the right path, trying hard
Gradually we feel the truth’s wide realm
As it reveals itself to us when we are calm

It is our duty to cultivate these bits and pieces
While gathering more signs, our faith increases
But to acquire the truth, we need security
A nurturing environment is the best surety

Our sages have given us hints and ways
For those who are ready to best use their days
By standing strongly on their ancestors’ shoulders
While knowing we are the truth particles’ holders

You have enumerated some very wise things, Emile. The joy, as well as the pain, comes in finding oneseklf.

Your second stanza speaks volumes... Recently, some of our children have taken steps of independence by choosing to throw out any morals that our family as a whole espouses. It has been difficult to watch them put themselves in danger due to some of their choices, but I know that in the end they have to find their own path to truth. I believe we return to what we know, to the basic familiar values we are raised with though... so I hold out hope that as they step out into unfamiliar territory and find themselves in precarious positions, that they will step back, dig deep inside and find the foundation that we have helped build inside of them... that family is important, that there is a higher power, that God is ever-present and knows and loves each of us individually...

WITHOUT THE SPIRIT...THERE IS NO LIFE. IT IS THROUGH ITS GUIDANCE THAT WE ARE LED TO DRAW CLOSER TO OUR CREATOR. WE ARE OF GREAT VALUE TO THOSE THAT HAVE GONE ON BEFORE US AND TO THOSE THAT COME AFTER. FOR, ONLY WHEN ONE CAN EMBRACE THIER INSIGNIFICANCE BEFORE GOD...CAN ONE RECOGNIZE THEIR SIGNIFICANCE TO GOD. THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS
