There are times when being apart seems unbearable
|
My soul's debilitated/
beloved/
& I am spent/
reeling from the day-to-day process/
of being/
please/
invigorate me/
in a deluge of your cool, refreshing vibe/
gallantly/
infuse me with the kinetic energy of your divergent sound/
profound/
soothe the longings I hold so deep inside that even I forget/
they/
are/
replenish me tenderly/
knowingly/
in the berth of our unified élan/
where there is power/
& harmonious balance/
awaken my senses with the earthy brillance of your aura/
that is so very/
irrestible/
touch my mind's eye again/
so that I can see/
lucidly/
our windward isle where love's exotic aroma innervates/
& lifts my spirits in a haze of fragrant mists/
heavenward/
release smooth downpours that revive/
like monsoon rains/
in broken places/
when will you come to me,
beloved?
I am here!
amongst the blossoms fair/
high, atop the mountainous places/
touching rainbows/
& chasing dreams/
waiting/
expectantly/
excitedly/
for that moment in time when we travel as one/
to Shangri-la

| I don't go for love poetry, but this caught and held my eye. The work has an almost irresistible flow, and induces the feeling of skimming over the depths of a fast moving river, gazing briefly at the shadows that pass below. It has the feel of spontaneity. In brief, I like the style. |

Shangri-La is such a high-and mystical place. To find a love like that would occur only in a lifetime, once.

| WoW! I can pretty much relate, Shirley. Your smooth and sometimes frantic pace is a delight each and every time I read one of your poems. Yes. You are good. |
