By chance or by choice
homebound or homeless
feral or tame
adopted or roaming free.
Welcomed or bothersome,
fleeting encounter
or lifetime companion -
a dilemma becomes a blessing:
we rescue them,
fix’ them,
feed them,
foster them,
be-friend them.
Compassionate embrace.
Kindness for our community.
Lop-sided agreement of keepers and kitties.
We are partners where they live.

A poem that shows love for cats, so commonly shared. We don't have one, since my husband isn't one for pets, but there's a cute black and white cat that visits our scrap "feast."
This is a wonderful picture! The cats are gorgeous and the setting and focus of the picture is great--I'm sure my semi-pro photographer daughter would heartily approve.

| You are doing a wonderful thing. There is a feral feline lady I feed each day. I've been doing it for two months. Yesterday she let me pet her for the first time! Hopefully soon I can make sure she gets spayed and a good home. Thank you for what you do. |

I'm glad you're out there–doing this. I don't think cats have ever really been domesticated. A recent study mounting cameras on cats showed that they roam widely while out of the house and killed an average of two other animals a week.
