Never Goodbye

Grief

I've been sitting here for awhile now

My sorrow, like an invisible thread

attached to you eternally.

I don't want to let you go and why should I?

Your memory keeps my heart beating; though

a bloody mess, it comforts me on dark days

when the sky in my world is the shade of gray.

Pain has a way of surpassing time and

space, like memories...it clings steadfast

with its talons in the heart, tearing at it with

each passing hour.

I wish I could tell you it will dissipate and evaporate with time until it hurts no more...but from my personal experience, that would be untrue...our special gifts live on in our memories and our pain sometimes tends to make us jaded questioning the righteousness of it all. But I know now that our Creator does not take our loved ones from us just as I know the day soon will come when I shall see my child again.

If this pain and sorrow is true, then I hope you're able to move on and leave behind.

Your powerful imagery serves to highlight your theme. Your words express a timeless and universal issue of this world/life. Thank you, Mary. Love and best wishes,
