Running my fingers across the words he's written, I am infused with the essence of his soul
|
My hands caress the parchement/
where your words breathe/
with lambent crystals of reflective light/
they/
entice me/
cause/
sultry sensations like currents to course powerfully through my being/
and I am swirling/
caught up in a vortex/
surrounded by a kaleidoscope of colors/
so heavy/
that they make rain/
drops fall/
profusely/
then slowly/
from my eyes/
transcribed emotions rise/
like braille/
and assails/
the pores of my fingertips/
infusing my soul/
with your love/
rancor/
joys and sorrows/
I ingest all of you/
and we are becoming/
interwoven/
inextricably/
in the continuum/
of verbs

| Lovely conveyance of the powerful effect of words originating from a certain person. I like that you retain your line form ends. They are signature. Thanks for posting this for us to experience. ~~ Diana |

You have a sensual way with words right at your fingertips. Still enjoying long after the fingertips are gone.

| Ah, Shirley, when I see your name in my mail box I smile, because I know I am in for a treat, and today is a special treat, indeed. Written letters are almost a thing of the past. I wrote a few love letters last year to a dear one. They weren't written with quill on parchment paper, but with a No. 2 lead pencil on lined paper, but as I was writing the letters I fell like I was doing something special, and she responded with the same enthusiasm. This poem brings back my feelings as I writer those letters last year. Ah, we're back to emailing again, but the letters stay in the back of my mind. |
