Halloween

Happy Halloween
I was four
Walking bag in hand to the first door
I was a pirate
Pumpkins were lit on the lawn
I was a little scare
There was a coffin, black one with cobwebs
I walked past it as my mom waited for me by the sidewalk
The front door crept open and out came a head
It looked like a dead horse with buckteeth
Of course I ran
Back to my mom
But the path was blocked by the coffin on the lawn
Its door had sprung open
And out came a monster with hands like gross hams
He reached out with fangs and a gnarled expression
Till I kicked him in the balls leaving a lasting impression
Oh how I ran with my mom in trail
As I took off in costume down the street
Back to my house to eat my sweet treats
